Who gets what and why? These questions animate mechanism designers since time immemorial, and are the key to understand how blocks should be built. Users make demand on state, which they mediate via transactions. They express how much they care about these preferences via fees, which are collected by participants to the block construction process. Who ought to participate? How should they be paid? In this session, we investigate these questions from the viewpoint of several proposed mechanisms, attempting to complete the picture.
